Thought I’d just throw up a few pictures of my most recent ride; 2500+ kilometers through Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and even a little bit of Afghanistan.

The market in Osh, Kyrgyzstan. Still lively along a mile of riverfront despite lots of missing families after 2010 ethnic cleansing. Perfect to fill up your Detours Coffee Bags for the 720 km foodless stretch to Khorog.

The guy I sold my bike to in Dushanbe. You can sell your cheaper mountain bike to a local too, and help the local cycling population.

Watermelons: plentiful everywhere, plenty cheap.

Garm Chasma, one of the many hot springs within easy riding distance from a main paved road. Entrance under $1 US for a private bath.
